Question |
Can a ClearCase file be hijacked (i.e. modified without being checked out)? |
|
Answer |
Yes, a ClearCase file can be hijacked from WebSphere(R) Studio, whether or not you are connected to the ClearCase server. Once the file is modified, the file will be changed to Read/Write status from Read-Only in ClearCase even if it is not checked out.
In WebSphere Studio 5.1.X, you now have the option to Undo a Hijack. For further details on how to Undo Hijack, look in the WebSphere Studio 5.1.X's online help under the keywords: Undo Hijack.
